Delighted to start the year with an order from the Royal Academy of Arts which means the Horizon Collection of silk ties can now be found inside the wonderful RA shop, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London.
If you would like to learn more about the Royal Academy, I would recommend their short video narrated by the RA's Artistic Director Tim Marlow.
Their exhibition programme for 2019 looks varied and exciting and includes a Phyllida Barlow RA show entitled cul-de-sac, a Félix Vallotton exhibition opening in June and an Antony Gormley exhibition opening mid September.
If you are planning a visit, you don't need to worry about becoming hungry - the RA has a cafe, a bar and a stunningly elegant restaurant, The Senate Room which overlooks Burlington Gardens. The Senate Room has just been restored by architect by David Chipperfield RA and looks like the most wonderfully relaxing place (I think I spotted the iconic leather Cab chairs from Cassina designed by Mario Bellini) to have a light lunch...or perhaps an interesting cocktail after taking in an exhibition...and don't forget to visit the shop!
