This print is inspired by the wild fennel that grows on the dunes of Northern Brittany and the poem 'The Goblet of Life' by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Also, fennel was seen as a symbol of strength in the eighteenth century and symbolic of flattery in Shakespearean plays.
Printed on a 15 oz silk twill. Rolled edges.
Approx 65 x 65 cm square.
A fusion of greens with tiny deep purple tones to give depth to the print.
